“The Cup and Saucer”

A shop with porcelain, earthenware and several antiques and curiosa; a place where you can drink a nice cup of coffee or tea, a bed and breakfast facility and a minicamping in the 
beautiful Värmland.

Welcome at Wim and Geke! 
 
We started the “Cup and Saucer” in 2006.

“For sale: a nice rural situated “herrgård” (country house) with original private house which has kept its old charm. Gueststuga, barn, garage with storage and sauna, hot house, a 
nice well maintained garden with swimming pool, arable land and forests. The country estate (±1920) is situated directly to the river Klarälven.”


This was the advertisement on which we, Geke and Wim van der Kloet, came to Sweden.
In november 2005 we bought this “herrgård” situated along the tourist road 62. 

   The “Cup and Saucer” is:
- a little shop with antiques, curiosa and creative things
- a coffee and tea corner, where you pick your favourite cup and saucer and fill it and which you can enjoy with homemade cakes 
- bed and breakfast in a guestroom
- a little camping.

Introduction

Geke and Wim van der Kloet, married for more than 30 years, four children, who left their parents home.
It became time to change and start something new together.
We discovered that goes well in Sweden!

Geke is a collector of porcelain and earthenware (but also of other kinds of antiques and curiosa) and regulary there is some trade on a flea market or via the internet.
She always wanted a little shop of her own.

Wim worked in education for almost 30 years. First as a teacher and later on as a principal.
In the past we already looked for a camping, but that was not successful.
Now then, working together to realise the shop as well as the camping.
